Feast of St Roch 2016

The Trail Dawgs Holy Day of Obligation Cometh...

The Feast of St. Roch!

Mark your calendars. Saturday July 16. 8 am start, Fair Hill.

The faithful shall congregate at 8 am at the South Appleton Parking Lot (Parking Lot #5, 1987 Appleton Road). Come assemble in the woods, eat, and run in honor of Dogs, Knee Injuries, Skin Diseases (including Poison Ivy Rashes) and -- fittingly -- the Trail Dawgs. An idol of the saint will be available for veneration.

Wayne Heffelfinger has again kindly volunteered to be Course Director for this event for 2016. Wayne plans to set a sign-and-ribbon-marked 20-25K route that will provide an enjoyable tour of the park, complete with Full Immersion Baptism (water crossings)! Shorter options will also be available.

There will be real registration (onsite only, sign-in sheet with USATF waiver) and actual times recorded -- but in the St. Roch fat-ass tradition, no fee for you (and also free parking for runners).

We will set-up the usual finish-line gathering of watermelon, drinks, and other snacks will greet sweaty runners at the end of their pilgrimage.
